write now, we only use 64 bits: https://github.com/0xPARC/cabal/blob/main/circuits/circuits/verify_cabal.circom#L55

so it's easier to brute force the first register of the privkey

This may not be a huge issue as you'd also (separately) need to brute force the last 128 bits to actually find a full privkey matching a pubkey.
