according to the documentation the cache looks at build.gradle only by default. I'm not even confident it would look at all of them in a multi-module build. However, lockfiles are the right default now, and it should fall back to build.gradle and build. gradle.kts.

I'll be honest it seems like this orb is significantly more difficult to use and deficient than the github action that's official by gradle. I don't want to spend a ton of time build engineering with circle ci to switch.
