When using saved perspectives for *.opi views, "Reset Perspective" will restore the location of all the Views. The content of each *.opi view, however, will be the last one shown in that view.

Example:

  1. Save a perspective which contains views for A1.opi and A2.opi
  2. Close A1.opi
  3. In the view of A2.opi, click some related display button that replaces it with B.opi
  4. Move or close the remaining view which currently shows B.opi

When you now reset perspective, the closed A1.opi view is restored (good).
The original location of the A2.opi is also restored (good), but it will display B.opi (unexpected).

Unsure if we can fix this, considering that it might even be considered a feature.
The complete reset of the workbench.xmi #1499 can be used as a workaround.
