for some songs it just turns my whole screen grey,or in the video it just freezes, and I have to exit out my tabs. also the face is just my background.

I didn't read the last part and for a second thought that was some sort of jumpscare bait video. Or perhaps it actually is...

Either way have you also tried the downloadable version?

I had my audio muted and was thoroughly convinced this was actually a jumpscare bait video when I saw the end.

This looks like a major performance issue. Do you have any other devices to try playing on?

I think I might know why this is happening. If you change your audio or don't have the audio card plugged into your pc the game freezes since either it was changed or not plugged in at all. And it has been in the base game for 4 years at this point and yes this also works on windows and mac if your curious. Just plug in your headphones and the game won't load the music at all.
