Does it happen in OpenBoard, or is it exclusive to this modified version?
This.

Describe the bug
Hinglish keyboard layout has suddenly started showing numbers and characters from the devanagri (Hindi) script.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to OpenBoard settings.
  2. Change the keyboard layout to Hinglish.
  3. Open keyboard.

Expected behavior
Layout should be identical to English (India), i.e., regular English numbers, period (.) instead of the hindi separator (।).

Turning off localized number row turns the numbers back to English ones but the period separator and the bottommost left key is still localized.

Switching back to the old parser resolves the issue.

Oh, looks like in some place only locale.language is checked...

@Helium314 This has resurfaced in 2.2 😅 For Hinglish, numbers have turned into hindi ones and other symbols like the sentence termination symbol as well. Turning off localized number row fixes the numbers but not the other symbols.

Expectation for Hinglish would be to have the same layout as English (India).
