Background player button?

Currently using pipepipe for the first time and i noticed that there wasn't a button to go to the background player menu
normally its would be there in other newpipe forks (BraveNewPipe screenshot here)

however in Pipepipe its missing said button even when starting background play

idk if theres an option to enable it in the settings or if its a ui big, either way i hope the button gets restored in the next update or so, ik you can access the background player menu via the drop down menu but idk it just seems more convoluted to do that than to just add a button that lets me access the same menu but thats just me

Hi @hydrogenicMetallium , you can long-press the play/pause button to achieve the same thing, but I agree that an additional button will make it clearly.

@InfinityLoop1308 play queue button should also open play queue activity when a stream is played on Main & Pop-up Player not only on background player as players are Unified since v0.20.0 , & it is in NewPipe with this commit along with this 2

& this commit makes the play queue button open play queue activity even when there is a single stream instead of two or more(as required presently to show play queue activity) allowing users to access to the play queue directly from the main player and so to loop/don't loop a single stream as a workaround even after #339 is added it will be useful to go from main player to to pop-up to background player & vice-versa.

When we play videos in Pop-up player, its play queue can be watched & managed in play queue activity for that now user has to drag down the notification bar/ find play queue, it should be accessible by play queue button

@InfinityLoop1308 the “view queue” button is there, but not responsive. It doesn’t open the queue page when being clicked on.

it works only on background player currently, not on Main & Popup player.

That's why I have requested implementation similar to upstream NewPipe in comments above.

It means there are more takers of above idea.
