@manez @ruebot is this a duplicate ticket I wonder? #72 may be the same task? Based on the Basic Image content type a user can't create a Basic Image node without associating it with a parent collection. But maybe that isn't really a requirement, but a way to ensure objects don't get orphaned?

Yeah, I'd say this is a duplicate since you can't ingest an object without assigning it to a collection.
