OCaml language community recently started to work hard on providing the infrastructure for scientific and domain-specific computing. OWL framework is one of the most developed ones for OCaml. See their GitHub repositories. And a companies like Imandra help to bring more correctness (using the sound OCaml type system) into the production level computations.
