Description

When opening the Stadia menu the Stadia+ items are not clickable with a gamepad (tested with Xbox controller), however, they are selectable in the main menu.

If the items are clicked with the keyboard "Enter" key, or by "Left clicking" with the mouse, menu items in the Stadia+ sub menus are not selectable with the keyboard cursors, or the gamepad.

As stated above, there seems to be some problems with selecting items in the sub menus with the keyboard cursors as well, but I haven't used this a lot and investigated it.

This happens outside of games, as well as inside games.

Reproducing steps

  1. Start at the main page of Stadia (https://stadia.google.com/home).
  2. Open the main menu by clicking the Xbox home (or corresponding, if it is universal).
  3. Navigate to the Stadia+ menu item with the D-pad or the left stick.
  4. Select Stadia+ with the "A" button.

This is just one of several possible ways to reproduce this, likely the fastest though.

Expected result

The Stadia+ settings sub menu should open.

Actual result

The click is registered by showing a "clicked effect" in the UI, but then nothing happens.

Environment

  • Stadia+ version: 2.5.5
  • OS: macOS Catalina 10.15.7
  • Browser: Chrome 86.0.4240.198
  • Gamepad: Xbox Wireless Controller (STANDARD GAMEPAD Vendor: 045e Product: 02fd) (Xbox One Bluetooth Controller)
