A change in Python Markdown has broken sphinx_markdown_tables this has been acknowledged (see 36 | Markdown 3.4 causes TypeError due to breaking changes.

Current solution requires...

pip install git+https://github.com/Dzordzu/sphinx-markdown-tables.git@markdown-patch
