No puedo guardar xml de un documento firmado #15

No me permite guardar el xml, levanta una excepcion de encoding

doc = Mifiel::Document.find(document_fiel_id)
doc.save_xml("path/to/file.xml")
=> Encoding::UndefinedConversionError ("\xC3" from ASCII-8BIT to UTF-8)

¿Me podrian ayudar?
Mi version de ruby es 2.5.7 y RoR 4.2.11.1
