This issue is closed but I thought it would be worth noting that I solved this problem by replacing https with http in /etc/apt/sources.list.d/nvidia-docker.list then running apt-get update. I encountered this problem on Ubuntu 14.04 and on a Ubuntu 16.04 VM where neither apt-get update nor installing apt-transport-https worked. |
