Help fine tuning turbo model

Hi! I've been trying to fine tune a SDXL model but haven't found the correct configuration.

I have successfully fine tuned the base sdxl model with really good results as well as: https://huggingface.co/SG161222/RealVisXL_V4.0

However, when trying the same settings on, say, DreamshaperXL turbo:

The results start to decay in quality by about 10 steps. One thing that I've found mentioned by the model author is this line:

"If you train on this, make sure to use DPM++ SDE sampler and appropriate steps/cfg."

I am not sure what this is referring to? Could this be the LR scheduler ? or maybe the denoising function? Any help would be greatly appreciated! I'm a big noob but eager to learn more.
