Interesting Points

  • Rust Love

    • Rust is so much loved for many reasons that are actually common points with C++
    • Possibly the reason why Rust became so popular in Blockchain Ecosystem and C++ not, despite the latter has been present for decades, is it has become really a huge language (it's still trying not to break up with its C legacy), possibly a little messy, and it makes its learning curve even steeper than Rust one
  • Blockchain is not so dissimilar from Embedded

    • Blockchain and Embedded Dev share some common requirements:
      1. resource efficiency
      • it typically means using a statically typed compiled language
      • having a small memory footprint alongside an efficient usage of runtime resources also helps a lot
      1. high security
      • again, it typically boils down to let the programmer be exposed to low level details while providing him with the a powerful semantic
      1. high reliability
    • In fact as C++ dominates Embedded, Rust is imposing itself signifcantly on the Blockchain side, let's how the competion with Golang will go on
