This particular suggestion relates to the use of exclamation marks at the end of CoC principles in relation to OS2's tone of voice.
Exclamation marks expresses strong emotions such as joy, excitement, anger, urgency etc. and is commonly used in less formal settings. Using this punctuation should be considered carefully and in regards to the context in which they are used.
The language of the Code of Conduct will in itself reflect the organisation. OS2's tone of voice (TOV) is not documented in detail, but can be described as professional, trustworthy, at eye level and (especially on social media) with a touch of humour. Strong emotions are rarely expressed, and if they are, it would be on social media - not in official documents.
Example
An example of the impact of exclamation marks:
Be rescpectful! (Vær respektfuld!)
(Intense, commanding, demanding)
versus
Be respectful (Vær respektfuld)
(Stating, directing)
Suggested solution
I suggest deleting exclamation marks in the OS2 CoC to avoid expressing strong emotions and intensity in this official document and align with otherwise practised OS2 tone of voice.
Going forward
Another issue going forward could be about developing and documenting OS2's TOV.
