Install in user space, it takes precedence over the global one.

I'm using the latest PowerShell Core version and I wanted to install the latest PSReadLine version. I tried using
Install-Module PSReadLine
, but get the following error:Apparently PSReadLine was installed together with PowerShell so I tried following the procedure described in the Readme for updating a pre-installed version, running the following command from CMD.
This seemed to install the latest version, but now I see that I have 3 versions side by side and I'm not sure which one will be in use for PS7.
How can completely remove the old versions and install the latest version in the proper location for PS7 so that I can later update it using the
Update-Module
command?Beta Was this translation helpful? Give feedback.
