support other format of file?

I would pass a plain text file between jobs, but this resource type only supports key-value properties file.

I am wondering if it is possible to meet my requirement using this resource?

In general it would be good if this resource could support a file type the is compatible with the stuff the is supported by Concourse´s very own load_var step. This would make all the bash transform dangling obsolete that is currently necessary to read from keyval-resource and then use load_var to use the property in the pipeline, what is way more declarative.
