Changes
- We changed the default affiliation mappings from English field labels to field API names in the installer script. [PR1951] [PR1912]

- We fixed a bug that caused the error message for insufficient permissions in EDA Settings to appear in the center of the page. [PR1932] [PR1912]
- In Education History, to avoid confusion with other object names, we've changed the name of the Credential Details section to Diploma, Degree, Certification Details. - We fixed a bug that required users to manually refresh the Education Cloud Settings page to see the latest unmapped record types when creating new auto enrollment program mappings. [PR1905] [PR1912]
Issues Closed
- Known Issue: List index out of bounds error is thrown when updating primary faculty on two course offerings in the same transaction. [PR1949]
- Known Issue: Error Notifier: No LIMIT on Error SOQL Query Can Result In 50,000 Row Limit or Heap Size Errors. [PR1907]
- Known Issue: We fixed a typo for the word "Military" in the description and help text of the Military Background custom field on Contact. [PR1914] [PR1912]
- Known Issue: Unable to edit accounts when using any language other than English.

Changes
Release Management in EDA
Many new features and enhancements in major releases are behind a release gate. Release gates allow us to upgrade your instance to the most recent version of EDA while keeping selected (gated) functionality from going live in your org. With release gates, your orgs always get the push upgrade, and you can control when you activate the functionality that's behind the gate. Not every release will have gated features. Please, read the EDA release card in the Release Management section of Education Cloud Settings. For more information, see the Set Up New Features and Activate Major Releases.
Mark an Address as Inactive
As Requested by our users on the IdeaExchange, we are happy to deliver Inactive Address. When an institution learns that an address is no longer valid, it can be marked as invalid without the need to delete the record at that moment. This new address capability also syncs with EDA’s current address management logic. For more information, see Address.
New Fields to Support Prospect Management & Admissions
To support more use cases for prospect management and the admissions process, we added these fields to the Contact object: SMS Opt Out and Disability Status.
We also added these fields to the Opportunity object: Desired Degree Level, Desired Campus, Desired Start Term, Completed FAFSA, and Living Situation. A new EDA Opportunity Layout has also been added to the HEDA Contact Layout. For more information about configuring these objects and working with these fields, see Opportunity.
Track Certifications and Credentials
Along a student’s journey they might earn several different academic credentials from their educational institutions and other types of professional credentials. Most institutions want to see a broader and more comprehensive picture of each student. What did they achieve inside the classroom, as well as outside the classroom? We have added two new objects with Academic Certification and Credential to help give users this more complete view. You can track Degrees, Diplomas, and Certificates using the Academic Certification object and Badges, Certifications, and Licenses with the Credential object. For more information, see Academic Certification and Credential.
New Metadata Types for Test and Test Score Definitions
Now you can add a definition of a test that includes general information including the name, type and description of the test. You can also add a definition of a test score that tells how the test is graded, the scoring range, and the passing value. For more information on these custom metadata types, see Test and Test Score.
New Fields on the Account Object
We’ve added the following fields on the Account object: Billing Address Inactive and Credentialing Email. If you're starting with this version of EDA, they’re included automatically. If you started with an earlier version, add these new fields to your page layouts. For details, see Add Custom Fields and Picklist Values.
You can also create a custom field for Credentialing Identifier and add it to your page layouts, as needed. See Model Certifications and Credentials.
New Fields on the Attribute Object
To help track whether a faculty member has the proper credentials to teach a course or what professional credentials a student has earned, we’ve added the following fields to the Attribute object: Activity End Date, Activity Start Date, Credential, Credentialing Identifier, Credential Number, Role, Status, Verification Status, and Verification Status Date. If you're starting with this version of EDA, they’re included automatically. If you started with an earlier version, add these new fields to your page layouts. New Fields on the Contact Object
To help keep track of current addresses for Contacts, we’ve added the Mailing Address Inactive field to the Contact object. If you’re starting with this version of EDA, it’s included automatically. If you started with an earlier version, add these new fields to your page layouts. For details, see Add Custom Fields and Picklist Values.
You can also create a custom field for Credentialing Identifier and add it to your page layouts, as needed. See Model Certifications and Credentials.

New Fields and Picklist Values in Course Connection
We’ve added the following fields to your Course Connection page layouts: Credentialing Identifier, Display Grade, Verification Status, and Verification Status Date We’ve also added the following picklist values for the Status field in the Course Connection Object: In Progress, Completed, Enrolled, Failed, On Hold, Withdrew, and Audited. If you're starting with this version of EDA, they’re included automatically. If you started with an earlier version, add these new values to the Status field. With the Office of the President Tableau Dashboard Starter with Salesforce and use filters to see historical trends in enrollment and degrees earned across diversity groups. Stakeholders can leverage this information to understand how your institution's student population is changing, set goals to increase diversity, and evaluate the impact of diversity initiatives.
