docker image unavailable

Hi,
I am trying to setup my own private registry using this crate i.e. crates-registry. Need it as 'server'.

While following the steps, I get below while when using docker version of the crate:

Error response from daemon: pull access denied for crates-registry, repository does not exist or may require 'docker login': denied: requested access to the resource is denied

Is docker image available for public or do we need to build one self?

Is the server also tested for https?

You can pull the Docker image using the following command:

docker pull talroni/crates-registry

Is there any likelihood of an update to the image at all?
