Contents of game properties window are not scaled correctly #9264

  • Distribution (e.g. Ubuntu): opensuse tumbleweed
  • Opted into Steam client beta?: No
  • Have you checked for system updates?: Yes

Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

After update to new client the "properties" dialogue for games is no longer scaled properly with rest of interface.

Steps for reproducing this issue:

  1. Enable HiDPI scaling with Settings->Interface->Enlarge text and icons based on monitor size
  2. Allow steam to restart to apply setting
  3. Open game properties
  4. Observe that HiDPI settings are not applied to contents of this window

Also seeing the same situation in "Select Launch Options" as well as Properties. Info:

  • Have you checked for system updates?: Yes

Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

Scaling issues, as noted above, started a couple of updates back, and still persist. See screenshots, below.

Steps for reproducing this issue:

  1. Using "vanilla" Ubuntu w/ proprietary Nvidia drivers; running three 4k monitors.
  2. Scaling set to 200% for all monitors.
  3. Launch game (in the case where game has multiple launch options), or
  4. Get properties for game.
