Currently templates appear to be sorted by modified date. That is not clear because date is not a supported field in this table:

Let's decide on the best default sort order, and if date is the way to go then it should appear as an option in the "Sort by" section of the view options so that users are able to revert to default if desired.

I would lean towards sorting alphabetically by default to match the current table. Sorting by modified date can be added later.
