I need to request a new machine:

  • New machine operating system (e.g. linux/windows/macos/solaris/aix): linux
  • New machine architecture (e.g. x64/aarch32/arm32/ppc64/ppc64le/sparc): ideally all supported ones - arm64, ppc64le, s390x, amd64
  • Provider (leave blank if it does not matter):
  • Desired usage: Docker image for SUSE BCI, which is broadly comparable to UBI - images come from registry.suse.com/bci/bci-base as per https://registry.suse.com/bci/bci-base-15sp5/index.html
  • Any unusual specification/setup required: Initially it will be likely same as UBI but with dnf replaced by zypper and epel removed from the installed packages in the dockerfile
  • How many of them are required: 1 on each architecture

Please explain what this machine is needed for:
We do not have any SLES testing capability on anything other than s390x at the moment. Testing on their BCI v15 images would give us a high degree of confidence that our binaries will work correctly on customer's SLES installations.

We do now have SLES15 images from registry.suse.com/suse/sle15 (implemented in #2696) so this may not be so important at the moment. Moving to backlog
