Hello,

I am using Thunderbird 60.9.1 et Clippings and Clippings 5.6.2, under Windows 10

Every time I close Thunderbird all the clippings have disappeared.
So, I have to re-import the clipdat2 file.

Is there a way to avoid this re-importation ?

I thank you in advance for any reply.

Regards,

Patrick

The next time you have to re-import your clippings, try the following steps to reset the clippings data source:

  1. Open Clippings Manager
  2. Export your clippings in Clippings 6 format to another location on your system (e.g. the Desktop)
  3. Quit Thunderbird
  4. Open File Explorer and navigate to your Thunderbird profile folder
  5. Delete the clippings data source file (clipdat2.rdf) and the clippings backup folder (may be named "clippings-backup" or ".clipbak")
  6. Launch Thunderbird, then open Clippings Manager and import the file
  7. Test that the next time you quit Thunderbird and then restart it, the clippings are intact

If the above steps do not work, it is likely that the Thunderbird profile is corrupt and you should consider starting over from a brand new profile.
