PZS-NG (Project-ZS - Next Generation)
--------------------------------------
Important notes:
----------------
It's worth mentioning that compatability is _not_
complete. A few things are missing, the known ones
are:
- All/month/week/day-up/down stats in announces
- Most triggers on IRC, the following WORKS:
- !df/free
- !bnc
- !uptime
- !inc/!incomplete(s)
- Announces for logins/logouts and other
siteop-related logging (i.e. security.log).
In addition, while cuftpd works fine under Windows,
pzs-ng does not. You might have luck compiling it
using mingw32 or cygwin, but this is untested. If anyone
attempts and succeeds at getting pzs-ng working under Windows,
please let us know. :-)
In short: Patches welcome! :-)
Setting up pzs-ng under cuftpd:
-------------------------------
Setting it up under cuftpd is very much like under glftpd, so read
INSTALL too. The things you need to do, in short, is this:
- Prepare pzs-ng for compilation, do this using
./configure --disable-glftpd-specific --with-install-path=/path/to/cuftpd/install
- Edit zsconfig.h, the important thing to notice is that all paths must be ABSOLUTE and
relative to the system root (NOT ftp-root), unlike glftpd.
Example:
Under glftpd: /site/incoming/videos
Under cuftpd: /path/to/cuftpd/install/site/incoming/videos
In addition, make sure these settings are set in zsconfig.h: log (path to cuftpd.log) and storage.
- Compile and install like normal:
make all install
- Setting it up in cuftpd:
- Edit cuftpd.xml, find <zipscript> under <site>.
- Set <type> to 2
- Find <pzs_ng>, under it set <path> to /path/to/cuftpd/install/bin.
(NOTE that you have to append '/bin' to the installation path used
with ./configure)
- Restart cuftpd!
Setting up dZSbot under cuftpd:
-------------------------------
This is identical as what is described in sitebot/README, except you need to set the paths
to real paths, and you need to add one line to dZSbot.conf (IMPORTANT):
set ftpd_type "other"
