I've just recently discovered Allusion and I could not be happier! It's a truly wonderful addition to my routine, helping me to sort all sorts of media in a comfortable fashion.

One thing that I found rather unfortunate is the lack of support for mp4 and webm file formats, but even in its current shape Allusion is an amazing piece of software!

Someone made implemanted mp4 support, but they haven't merged the code.

1. pros:

• light, fast tool (after generating thumbnails)
• excellent and clear interface, responsiveness/scaling UI, changes in the layout of displaying graphic collections, any thumbnails, attractive appearance
• correct help
• great potential for success in the future

2. Cons (I have been professionally involved in graphics for over 25 years, the reasons for this entry):

• I don't understand why, in addition to what you did with filtering the layout of the files (great job done), there was no regular view allowing
  A) moving through resources in the same way as in OS, i.e. moving between files and displaying only one level of the file tree
  B) docking the preview on the side of the window with info (what Adobe Bridge has)
  C) copying/cutting/pasting/moving, from what I see there is only drag and drop to the file. D) a scanned and transferred resource without re-scanning does not display in a new place, ok, is it possible, but some refresh option is needed?

• filtering logic that prevents efficient management, I will explain this with an example:
  A) resource acquisition - ok
  B) temporary disabling of a fragment of the directory tree - ok
  C) however, after disabling there is no return, I can enable the resource but it does not restore in the thumbnail view window, even though it was scanned
  D) Scanning without subdirectories ok but I can't add/supplement this scanning to the session later?

• logic for displaying a sorted resource, it's great that it shows what has been transferred, but it would be better if it was an option and not the need to scroll through a large resource in order to search/reach the remaining graphics in a given directory.

3. To sum up, this tool at this stage will not replace the usual browsing of resources in the OS, it has other options but is not suitable as a replacement for e.g. Adobe Bridge, even InfraView (the option of mass file renaming) despite its shortcomings allows faster sorting and organizing of large resources.

4. Question: can you increase the functionality of your project by the mentioned deficiencies, even starting only from the display logic available in the OS? the rest can even be made as elements with a default crossed-out eye, the changes would be made by automatic scanning of the next fragment, etc., or leave the Locations tab and add functionality from the OS.
