Does this work? I can't seem to get it to constrain scrolling.

It should work, but I recommend relying on CSS over programmatical mechanisms of constraint. If you like, put up a demo on jsbin (or similar) and I will take a look at it.

yep, any excuse to use cursive fonts and diagonal stripes is a good one, to me.
