I noticed we have a hidden feature here

intellij/base/src/com/google/idea/blaze/base/query/MacroLineMarkerProvider.java

Line 60 in 93295b0

new BoolExperiment("macro.gutter.icons.enabled", false);

It would be nice to test it and maybe enable
