It would be nice to have a changelog.md to know what changed in terms of performance, API, bug fixes, features, etc.

Reasonable. You can get this by looking at https://github.com/beautify-web/js-beautify/milestones?state=closed , but having it in a changelog would be useful.

Milestones aren't really specific in any way and you can't expect people to spend time going through tons of issues and reading the whole conversation. For something with 2,000 stars,it's obvious people use this package and it should be very well-documented.

Erm, I wasn't arguing with you, I was agreeing. I'm saying until that happens there is a workaround.
