Some stuff has changed a lot in the past few years, so here's the things I can think of that are the most useful:

github pages hosting proves useful
having multiple site versions
password protecting would be good, but currently htaccess works
a build system would be helpful probably
we could use a way to track comments other than by shoving in HTML

Some useful things:

shared components: toggling content
a good sidebar abstraction
webcomponents / react style writing would be useful
