Explore dependancy mangers

• Back burner item, Git submodules fine for now
• Look into CocoaPods (which recently added Swift support) & Carthage
• Will require changes downstream (SMCKit & SystemKit)

Closing this for now. Git submodules have been nice, can revisit this later need be. Keeps things simple this way, one less tool.

For reference, some notes on this from brief research:

Carthage

• Lightweight layer over Git submodules, no need for changes downstream. Integrating into Xcode project is left up to you
• Builds dependencies as frameworks (dylibs) which is a problem in our case since we want a single binary. See: Use Carthage in a command line tool? Got "Reason: image not found" Carthage/Carthage#287 (comment)
• SourceKitten has taken this approach, and while it certainly works, for now, I still prefer having a single binary. This is all due to the static linking problem, which Apple could address sometime soon (WWDC 2015 :)?)
