"Use accessibility" no longer detects when Accessibility service is turned ON for Bitwarden #4601
Comments
Thank you for your report! We've added this to our internal board for review. |
Hi there, Thank you for your report! I have managed to spot these two issues(#4586) and (#4224) where users are experiencing similar behaviour. If you wish to add any further information/screenshots/recordings etc., please feel free to do so at any time - our engineering team will be happy to review these. Thanks once again! |
I added a video recording where it's shown how the "use accessibility" setting is disabled despite the service being turned ON for Bitwarden and then explicitly turning it off and on again with no change. |
I am experiencing the same issue. |
same issue here on both my Android 11 and 15 phones. |
Same issue on OnePlus 13 running OxygonOS 15 (Android 15) Version: 2025.1.1 (19728) |
Same issue on Samsung S24 Ultra running OneUI 6.1 (Android 14) © Bitwarden Inc. 2015-2025 Version: 2025.1.1 (19728) and Pixel 6 (Android 16 BP22.250103.008) Version: 2025.1.1 (19728) Reinstalling the app doesn't fix this issue. |
Same issue on my device. Redmi Note 10 Pro, MIUI 14.0.9.0(TKFEUXM), Android 13. Bitwarden app version: 2025.1.1 from Google Play. Checked all the permissions, rebooted phone, disabled and reenabled accessibility service, reinstalled app. Nothing helps. I must say that this is quite a showstopper for me and if this isn't fixed soon, I will have to look for another password manager, though I love Bitwarden so much :( |
Was not fixed on version 2025.1.2 |
Still having problem © Bitwarden Inc. 2015-2025 Version: 2025.1.2 (19740) |
Same issue here. |
While hardly ideal I've resorted to installing 2024.6.0 and disabling Google Play from updating Bitwarden until this is resolved |
I've also done this, for the time being. Bitwarden was greyed out in the accessibility settings but following these instructions resolved it:
|
Steps To Reproduce
Bug appeared when the app was updated to the new design version.
Expected Result
The app detects the accessibility service to be set ON for Bitwarden in Android setting.
Actual Result
The app doesn't detect the accessibility service state and the "Use accessibility" stays OFF no matter what the user does.
