Journal autosave

I think we should go ahead and duplicate the autosave functionality in the journal, though I think for performance issues, we should limit the save check to 30 seconds...

I agree that autosave should be duplicated, but would it be too much of a performance hit to autosave every 10 seconds? Not a huge deal if we can't, but my preference would be for as short of an interval as performance requirements allow (creates a safer environment for users, eh?).
