Another good idea from an Anderson user:

"If I change things around in Markup Sets, or make different Markup Sets available for different papers, can the students still see the things I’ve highlighted in previous papers, before I made the change? For example, let’s say I get rid of a button after I have graded a set of papers. When students go back to the instructor review for that paper, will the button still work (show the explanation and the link), even though I’m not using that button anymore?"

Right now, the behavior is this:

"If you either a) delete a tag altogether or b) remove a markup set from a course, then the tags will no longer appear in any documents in that course. However, if you add the markup set back to the course after removing it, any tags will reappear."

Would it be worthwhile / possible to look into ways of persisting markup in documents, even if the markup set is no longer associated with the course?
