In Firefox, the pattern flickers (goes completely black) for a fraction of a second when a new combination of slider settings is selected. Once all possible values of a slider have been explored, there is no more flickering.

Other platform details

  • Ubuntu 20.04
  • Nvidia GPU with latest proprietary drivers

Noticed the flicker as well with FF.

  • Ubuntu 18.04
  • AMD GPU
  • FF 82.0.3 (64-bit)

Works smooth with Chrome Version 86.0.4240.198 (Official Build) (64-bit).

This looks like it has to do with FF rather than the actual code.
Nice project, well done. 👍 ✨ 💖

Probably was due to the display server and Firefox still dialing in optimizations for Wayland at that time.

I doubt this is still an issue, @catchspider2002 should probably just close this as Wayland has come a long way and was probably the source of this issue (which default Ubuntu has moved to by using Gnome which uses Wayland by default now, not sure about 18.04's display server but that's deprecated now anyway)
