XAPI Server for NZ data

Can we get a XAPI interface to the NZ data? The 'official' XAPI servers seem to be so bogged down that it is impossible to get data out. I'm trying to merge some of the authoritative datasets but want to do some queries like find existing suburb point tags so I can merge with the polygons or delete duplicates.
