If you create a new window will not change the icon.
Icon ConEmu.
In version 1.2.9, it was not.

I have this problem too. Anyway, as a workaround I used HotKeyP to assign a global shortcut for cmder and then just used that key combination (win+alt+c) when I wanted a new console. Works well enough, though it would be cool if we could set the windows icon for the new console from the cmder.

Looks like this problem resolved - #2335, https://github.com/cmderdev/cmder/releases/tag/v1.3.15
