Select Topic AreaBug BodyToday, I suddenly saw a post from someone I don't know on Github, and Github told me that it was because I followed him that I pushed it. However, I have never seen him before, let alone followed him. It's definitely useless for me to click on this unfollow, but it should be noted that I'm almost certain that I've never followed him before. That means he hasn't been on my follow list, but Github still pushed me his activities. I have provided several new examples in the answers below, and they are still constantly being pushed to me!!! The commonality among these three unknown sources of stars is that I have focused on the organizations to which these star warehouses belong. But does following an organization mean accepting star information from all its warehouses? The most crucial thing is that Github told me that I followed these people instead of this organization, and I believe this is a serious error of the Feed algorithm. Edit: |

Now there is another push like this, but what I can confirm is that I haven't followed this user named MizginYildirak either.、 |

Another new one, I have never followed it, but it says I have followed it and it is not on my follow list. Why is this??? |

I feel like I already have enough evidence to prove my hypothesis because it's still being pushed! |

I faced same issue but reapplying the filters manually fixed it for me. |

For me it's pushing activities (stars) from people I do not follow, but based on repositories I contribute to / in my organisation. Never used to be like this. Tad annoying, as I expect to only see stars from either my direct repositories (under my username) and people I follow. |

Getting the same issue: Stars from people I don't follow to repos I didn't star, also sometimes weird contributions? |

I'm having this hugely annoying issue. My feed is filled with contributions and "starred repositories" of people I have no idea who they are, nor do I follow them. Even after dismissing all those "contributions" to see less activity like that, hours later, my feed is, again, full of useless information that obscures the real data that I need. |

Apparently there's a new Filter - "Include events from starred repositories" Uncheck it |
