You can use the --json command line option of the Python client or the C++ binary. Or you can call the API directly, the *WithMetadata functions return the full metadata information for each candidate transcript.

we (i and my son, Raphael) would love to get more involved with helping coqui, because there are many features we would love to see added, including word confidence, which might not be too difficult, and transfer learning (https://colab.research.google.com/github/coqui-ai/STT/blob/main/notebooks/easy_transfer_learning.ipynb). we will start by reading: https://stt.readthedocs.io/en/latest/BUILDING.html) and https://github.com/coqui-ai/STT/blob/main/CONTRIBUTING.rst. it does look like a pretty decent knowledge of C++ is going to be vital - is that correct?
we could also help with polishing documentation, perhaps starting with something small but nevertheless useful like replacing the mentions of Deep Speech?
