Can you estimate the total number of teachers that there will be for the user to compare?

The admin (Principal) would have accesss to any teacher in their school. For our HS, that means 100 teachers, for Middle schools, it would be 50 and for elementary it would be 30.

What is the average number of courses that a teacher will have?

Each teacher would have around 10 active courses in which they have the role of teacher. This would be a good way to filter in the query. "is enrolled and role="teacher". Users could easily have significantly more than 10 courses they are associated with, but only few would have significantly more which they are also listed as teacher in.

Can you give an example of one teacher and the courses that teacher will have

A great teacher to use since they are a power user would be Meagan Maynard, maynarm1 is her username. She has 51 courses associated with her. Most of these are old, but she has not concluded them which is likely to be the norm. To look at her courses, hover over the "Courses" menu in topnav, you will see a pop-up menu and it will have a column out to the right that says "Managed Accounts" and there you will see Charlottesville City Schools. This menu item will take you into the admin view and allos you to search for users and courses and to see account analytics.

On Monday when you were demoing the Canvas app, you were able to drill down to one teacher and his/her analytics. Austin and I were trying to replicate that path in Canvas but not able to reach that content. Can you write out how you got there?

TopNav(Hover)"Courses">Managed Accounts>Charlottesville City Scchools>Find a User "Maynarm1">Click name in search results in main div>Select a course from users profile page (Blue means published/active)>on course homepage>Course Analytucs in Right Column

On Monday we talked briefly about a second task flow. An overview page for the principal. What content is needed for this high-level overview?

I think the default view would be a view of aggregate data for the subaccount in which they are an admin. From this sceen they could sub-select or filter.

For both task flows, the user gets to the content they desire. What action will the user take after seeing the content? For example, the principal sees the analytics on one teacher. What actions will the principal take now?

More than likely (and unfortunately) they will want to be able to print the view.

What time frame units are useful for the user? Will the use want to filter time by quarters, semesters, week, months, years, or really specific dates?

I think date range would be most universally helpful: Select start date, select end date.
