Shorten is somewhat brittle in that it relies on lines of text being a specific height. This assumption doesn't hold true if those two lines span multiple elements with potentially different text sizes. It would be nice to crop between lines of text or crop Facebook-style (clip some words and append the "see more" to the last paragraph).
We can probably do better than Facebook, tbh. Why clip the middle of a word???
