Can I made a PR in order to backporting #546 to php7.4, I'll start from 1.12.2 version?

Thank you for #546 but we follow PHP support schedule, and only address actively supported PHP version.

I suggest you to use https://github.com/cweagans/composer-patches for your use-case
