It would be nice if users get a more visual cue on what's going on in a feature model/configuration.
For example, we could highlight a feature for every user in the moment it is renamed (save for the user that did the rename). Going further, we could also show a persona of the editing person at the concerned feature (subtree), analogous to Google Docs' blinking cursors for each editing user.

This is named "awareness" in the literature. A review and assessment of different awareness techniques is required.
For now, awareness is optional (as it only guides users in their modeling decisions and does not directly impact consistency).
