This is a lot of work, so you may decide it is not worth it or a long-term goal, but this would be really powerful:

  • in syllabus page within WP include a "check for updates" button which looks for content in the github version not in the WP version.
  • if changes are found provide a link to a diff between them,
  • and an option to replace the WP version with the github version
    • this would require you to convert md back into whatever wp uses on backend

Advantages: If the syllabi actually get used/forked/ and accept pull requests on the github end, a user will likely want to easily re-incorporate those changes made through the community back into their wordpress doc.

  • anyways - fantastic work and I'm really wishing you the best on this. I'm thinking of doing a ProfHacker writeup on the project in a few weeks!
