(macOS - ARM) Cannot measure with Argyll 3.x #460

Describe the bug
As the title says, the software reports an error with Argyll 3.0.0 to 3.3.0 (latest) while Argyll 2.3.1 works fine. I tried python from 3.9 to latest but it also doesn't work either.

Versions (please complete the following information):

  • Device: MacBook Pro 14 inch M1 Max
  • OS: macOS 14.x and 15.x
  • Python Version: 3.9 to latest
  • ArgyllCMS Version: 3.3.0 to latest
  • DisplayCAL Version: 3.9.14 and latest dev version

maybe thats a side effect of x86 argyll version. maybe try https://discuss.pixls.us/t/argyllcms-3-3-0-for-macos-arm64/45869
The combo 3.9.14 and arm64 argyll runs fine on my macbook pro 16 m1max
