ethereum wallet syncing to network for Macs

Can someone please help me figure out how to sync my wallet to the network for a Mac I purchased ethereum through Coinbase on my wallet and everything says it went through but cannot find out how to sync my network so I can retrieve my ethereum id really appreciate if someone can help me so I don't lose out on a lot of money thank you
