It might be good to have a binary release for arm64 with git support, and maybe adding the note about the insecurity.
On the issue it's said this is not an issue publicly released so I wonder to what extent we want to be so open about this. Also I'd assume a lot of other programs depends on this library and this library is included in most if not all arm64 distros (i.e. https://packages.debian.org/bookworm/arm64/libgit2-1.5/download) so I see two options:
Just include it in the regular release. I honestly feel that's OK, specially because of the above.
release a secondary binary with git support and note this out on the release page.
