Hi @gh3990 , Thanks for your request. Can you kindly add more information / context here on: Yourself , e.g. include links to social media / news mentions etc Julien |
Hey Julien, Yourself , e.g. include links to social media / news mentions etcLinkedin: https://be.linkedin.com/in/angeloschalley Your history working on IPFS / Filecoin, e.g. notable contributions to the community, type of engagement shown over time etcI have been following Filecoin for over 2 years and got actively involved before the space race. Check my slack ID : Angelo Type, size and source of the data you (and by extension other Discover participants) are looking to store on Filecoin, e.g. public data vs private data etc.As I run a hosting company since 2003 I want to create an app integration into Plesk to backup files (Customers hosting data) on Filecoin instead of Google/AWS/FTP/SCP ... Now all customer backups are going that way. Looking at 4Tb of data right now, but will grow more. Your relationship with the data, especially with regard to copyrightMy company delivers hosting services and customers need a backup system. Files are owned by the customer, but backup's are the responsibility of the company to provide. How you intend to store the data on Filecoin, e.g. redundancy, location / miner preferences, etcSpread over multiple miners, Geo location will be NL/BE/ and maybe some other depending on GDPR. But definitely within Europe. (Not the UK) Have you already ask datacap to another notary that have been accepted or rejected. No not yet. Thank you. We can chat over Slack if you want to verify. |
Hi Angelo, seems like I miss your last message. I understand this is private data. **Encryption :
** Company :
** Datacap:
Thank you, Julien |
Hey Julien, Thanks for getting back to me... **Encryption :Could you confirm if the data will be encrypted or not ?Yes, it will be encrypted by the Plesk internal key. That you have the permission in case of an Audit to provide me or another notary the key to decrypt a sector of our choice ?Yes, that's possible if I can observe the decryption and you have a way of data wiping the restored data. Because I have to report this test to the customer and needs to be GDRP compliant. ** Company :Do you have an English version of the website or a social link ? ?how many client and how much data per client ?No my customers are all Dutch/Flemish speaking. I plan to create an English version in the future. If you have a specific question I can translate it for you. My Blog and Linkedin page are in the previous post. I have around 1500 clients/subscriptions that average about 1Gb-6Gb of data per client/subscription. ** Datacap:How much data are you considering storing to your own miner ?Around 50% I think, or a 100% on my own miner and have a extra/or second extra for other miners in the network. Please describe the nature of the relationship with this miner especially if you've got any interests ?Can you clarify this question? I don't understand what you mean. Finally, will you agree to share here all the CIDs related to the datacap ?I will keep track of it and will disclose it on request. I wasn't planning on reporting it here on this Github page. Thank you, |
Thank you for this additional information.
Verified deals has to follow Filecoin principles that include geo distribution of multiple copy of the same data. What seems to be acceptable in notaries point of view is to store one copy to your mine and between 3 to 5 copies to other miners. so between 16% to 25% of the allocation should go to your miner maximum. Please confirm you are fine with this.
Based on the previous explanation. We will be intrested to understand any interest you may have with the miners you are going to store data to.
Providing all the CIDs here is mandatory. Please confirm you will comply with this. Julien |
ok, I will distribute it more over multiple miners. No problem. I don't have any interests in/relation to other miners, they will be randomly selected based on offered price on the network. (Of course in the EU like I mentioned / not in the UK - all have to be GDPR compliant for me to store the data on a miner.) I will provide the CID's here as requested (It just seems like a lot of extra administration work). Is there a scripted way of putting a CID here that you know of? Anyway, I'll look into it. Thanks, |
Hi @gh3990, I will provide you 1TiB of datacap; you will be able to apply again once it's fully consumed. Could you please confirm your address to receive datacap is : f1jqjoleqxffusnsyxxlmyedhqsiigoqg2eg4sgzq ? Regards, Julien |
Yes, that's the right address. |
Thanks for your request!
