MC tuning of parameters

I guess the aim should be that we understand the telescope good enough that this is not necessary. Meaning that we derive e.g., the PSF from dedicated measurements and use the muon parameters for validation only.

If above is too optimistic, we would need a tool for the tuning - a simple one stepping through the parameter space and maybe something more sophisticated?

Does this makes sense?

Sorry, I may have missed it, but what is the context here?
I am sure we will need some MC tuning of various parameters and we already have at least one application for that.

'tool' was maybe the wrong word. MC tuning is general theme with different algorithms available in the literature. My question is if we should have a generic approach.

Ahh OK, understood. This requires some thinking then, maybe make a list of possible tunings we might have in the future (we don't have too many now). It's good to keep this open and keep it mind then.
