We owe Tor Ekeland $3,108.38. Our minimum payment this month is $2,500.00 (which will leave $608.38, but we should probably top them up beyond that to keep them on retainer). I've added our PNC account to Chase QuickPay, so we can use that once the money is in PNC.

We have $2,210.84 in PNC, and $716.44 in PayPal. I've withdrawn $500 from PayPal to PNC. That's our monthly withdrawal limit; see #281 for lifting it. I had also expected to invest some more personal funds into Gratipay, LLC to cover this. I have about $400 readily available for that if we need it.

We have a $1,500 minimum average monthly balance at PNC to avoid a service fee, but that doesn't kick in for 90 days from when we started our account ... so, probably August or September?

With the $500 from PayPal + $400 from me, we'll have $610 left in PNC after paying Ekeland. That's low but not too low for us right now (all things considered). I'll move the $400 on Monday, PayPal will clear on Tuesday or Wednesday. Let's plan to pay Tor Ekeland on Thursday of next week.

Actually, Chase QuickPay has a $2,000 daily limit anyway. I just sent $1,000 now, and we can send $1,500 next Thursday, the 9th. The bill is due on the 16th.

We have $1,651.92 in PNC. I just lifted our PayPal limit and withdrew $567.43. What bills are due? Can we pay $1,500 and have the PayPal deposit hit in time to cover our next bills?

Looks like Heroku and Piwik will hit on the 12th, which is in three days. That's cutting it close. I may have to float some personal cash, or we can just put off the Tor Ekeland bill a few more days. It's not due until the 15th, so I guess we should do that. :-/

Heroku and Piwik together are ~$160, so we don't have enough.

I've made another $1,000 payment to TE. We'll send another $500 next week. The due date is Thursday the 16th.

I guess I'm trying to avoid investing more personal cash. I said above that I have another $400 available, but it'd be great not to have to invest that into Gratipay, LLC.

(And at this point I couldn't get to the bank to move the money from personal to Gratipay until Monday, anyway.)

The $567.43 has cleared PNC from PayPal. I've sent the remaining $500 for July to Tor Ekeland.

We owe them another $608.38 next month, but I think we should keep the relationship open beyond that, which I believe means maintaining an escrow with them.

Hey Aaron, just sent the final $500 for July. Sorry I didn't get to that yesterday when it was due. I'm looking forward to paying off the remainder of our balance next month.

I'd like to keep our attorney-client relationship open if you're up for it. I believe that means maintaining an escrow, yes?

Thanks for the update, Chad! I'm glad that you're interested in having
us continue to represent you. Given that you've paid your bills
according to our arrangement, I don't think it's necessary for you to
pay an additional retainer -- we can bill you monthly, or as otherwise
agreed. Our existing engagement letter is open-ended, and enables me to
continue advising you as needed.

They're using Clio now. I created an account there under [email protected], which is the email Aaron sent this bill to.
