The mission of the marketing team is to communicate with the market, listening for problems relevant to our organizational mission, and sharing our solutions.
One thing I see happening for us is that we're making connections with a different part of the open source community. We fell out of favor with a certain Twitter-centric segment, starting back in 2014 (#319), but the open-source world is big. The relationship we're starting to establish with OpenSource.com (#551) represents a connection with another part of open-source. Maybe it's more enterprisey? I can't go to OSCon this year, because it overlaps with OuiShare Fest (#314). We should keep an eye out for that next year, though.
